Tutu Ballet/Tap 1
Tutu Ballet 1:
Our theme for December is The Weather. Using the classic song, “Jingle Bells”, along with hand held sleigh bells, we explore different rhythms, making our circle song a big hit! Across the floor we practice hopping on one foot to the festive song "Hanukkah oh Hannukah"! This month we are working on moving in a circle and around the room as a group. Our "Weather Dance" teaches the children to tell a story with movement while exploring weather conditions. We continue to practice and build on our ballet steps and have added arabesque tendu. Our holiday dance is sure to be a hit with our families!
Tutu Tap 1:
In tap this month, we warm-up with marches, heel toe steps, shuffle step, shuffle hops and heel cramp. In the center we learn a festive combination to show parents! We end class with a fun festive game!
