Happy October to our Tutus Families! We are having tons of fun in class and making notable progress. Both students and teachers are “settling in” and are enjoying getting to know one another!
October is a busy month with lots of fun fall learning activities, recital costume measuring week (Recital Track Only) and our super popular Halloween event, "Wear Your Costume to Class Week"!
Please take a few minutes to read through the Newsletter as it will keep you connected and up-to-date! Communication is important to us, so if you have any questions regarding your child, please don't hesitate to contact us. Tutu Ballet/Tap 1
Tutu Ballet 1:
Ballet: Our theme for October is Princes and
Princesses and the students are having fun pretending to be royals going to the ball. They
will "build" a castle with their scarves to practice the concept of inside and outside while honing their theatrical skills of being cold and hot. We then go on a hunt for our horses to go to the ball while learning stage directions. At the ball we dance with the Disney Princesses and even get woken up by Prince Charming! The dancers are getting into the Halloween spirit by dancing "Little Witch" using brooms as props!
Tutu Tap 1:
Tap: In October, students warm-up practicing rhythm with toe taps, clapping and and bends. Students enjoy a circle exercise practicing their shuffles and shuffle steps to "Round and Round the Garden"! Our Halloween combination to "Orange Pumpkin" is spooktacular!

Our center combinations this month are to "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" and “One For Me, One For You” to celebrate Halloween!
Tutu Tap 2:
Tap: We will continue to work on our rhythm during our warm-up with heel drops, toe heels, spanks & toe digs. Students enjoy a circle exercise practicing their shuffles and shuffle bunks to "Pick a Pumpkin"! Our Halloween combination to "The Pumpkin Twist is so much fun!
