Master Classes at Tutus


We are proud to offer a series of Master Classes this summer designed to give aspiring dancers insight/focus on different aspects of their training that will help them learn and grow as a dancers!

Master Classes at Tutus are open to the public-you do not need to be a current student at Tutus. Class sizes are limited and are on a first come-first served basis. There are no refunds/makeups/exchanges for Master/Speical Event Classes.

Summer Dates:

July 10: Turns, Turns, Turns! with Hallie Rumsey-Focus on exercises and tips for enhanced stability, turning control, balance and precision.

July 26: Flexibility! with Tuiana Balzhieva-Learn safe and effective stretching techniques to maximize your overall flexibility.

August 2: Ballet Technique! with Tuiana Balzhieva- Focus on alignment, turnout, body positions and so much more! A must for inspiring ballet dancers!

August 9: Strengthening/Conditioning! with Tuiana Balzhieva-Learn exercises to help dancers improve balance, flexibility and endurance.

Tuiana Balzhieva

Tuiana Balzhieva -professional ballet dancer, graduated ballet school in Russia at L.P Sakhyanova (2005-2013 ) After graduating Ballet School and obtaining a professional diploma of "ballet dancer," she was accepted to Buryat State Opera and Ballet Theater where she became a young soloist dancer. Tuiana has performed solo and principal roles in multiple ballets. In 2008 she participated in the 7th Siberian International Dance Competition in Novosibirsk, where she took 3rd. She also took part in Ekaterina Maksimova’s International Dance Competition in Perm, Russia. Her repertoire consists of many Classical and Contemporary ballets, performed as leading, soloist and corp roles in: Giselle, Swan Lake , Nutcracker, Pinocchio, Thousand and one nights, Dzhambuling (choreography by Peter Quanz), Harlequinade, Don Quixote, Blue Bird, Carmina Burana, Francesca da Rimini, Pas de deux Flames of Paris, Festival of Flowers in Cinzano, Tarantella (D.Balanchine), Carmen, Alice in Wonderland, Namzhil by Peter Quanz, Romeo and Juliet etc. In 2015 she came to USA with the Moscow Ballet company to perform “Swan Lake“ and “Nutcracker” spanning 30 states and Canada. In 2016-2017 she studied French technique in the French Academy of Ballet in NYC with director Francois Perron. After graduating, Tuiana was accepted to a professional dance company in NJ, “Roxey Ballet,” where she danced for 3 seasons. In 2019 she joined the Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theatre as a dancer and teacher. She is currently teaching and choreographing at multiple competitive schools including Tiny Tutus Dance Center since 2023.

Hallie Rumsey

Hallie Rumsey began her training at The Academy of International Ballet of the Performing Arts in Media, Pennsylvania. She started her professional career in 2015 at Ballet Theatre of Maryland. She went on to dance at American Repertory Ballet in Princeton, New Jersey, for 5 seasons, where she performed various principal and soloist roles. In 2022, she moved to Santa Barbara, California, to join State Street Ballet, where she danced for 1 season. She then moved to Tokyo, Japan, to dance with Ballet V Tokyo. Upon returning to the United States, she danced as a guest artist for various companies. In 2024, she joined The Grand Kyiv Ballet for a tour of Swan Lake and Giselle. For the 2024/25 season, she will perform in a tour of Swan Lake and The Nutcracker in Belgium, Holland, and Germany, and as a principal guest artist and teacher for Garden City Ballet in Montana.
